Production control
See every work order move
Every work order, every operation, every work centre on one board. Each count an operator logs moves it the same second, and a work centre behind target is flagged with the reason, not discovered at the end of the shift.

The production board
Plant, line, work order, operation
Open the plant and see output, plan attainment, rejections and open alerts for the shift. Open a work centre and see the orders on it. Open an order and see each operation, its work centre, done against plan, and the status with a reason.
- Output against plan, this shiftEach work centre shows done against target and the current rate, from the counts operators log at the station.
- Behind, with the reasonA work centre behind target carries the cause: downtime open, waiting parts, short from the vendor, or a slow station.
- Work order to operationEach order lists its operations in sequence, including subcontracted ones, with the quantity handed to the next station.
- Alerts that name the orderA shortage, a failed inspection or a downtime past its limit shows as an alert on the order it will delay.
What gets recorded
What the board reads
| Event | Who | What is captured | Where it shows up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Count | Operator | Quantity, operation, station, time | Work centre output, plan attainment |
| Complete operation | Operator | Quantity handed to the next station | Work order progress, next operation queue |
| Downtime | Operator or supervisor | Start, end, reason, station | Behind-target reason, downtime by cause |
| Material issue | Stores | Item, lot, quantity against the order | Material readiness, waiting-parts status |
| Inspection | QC | Pass, fail, disposition | Batch hold on the order, rework queue |
| Subcontract return | Stores | Quantity returned against the challan | Short-return flag on the operation |
What management sees
One work order, every operation, the same second
The operator's count, the supervisor's downtime entry, the vendor's return and the QC result all land on the work order as they are made. Planning, material and cost per order read the same record.
See the shop floor appsQuestions about production control
Where does the production data come from?
From the shop floor apps. Operators, supervisors and QC log counts, scrap, downtime and inspections at the station on Android phones. The board reads those entries. Nothing is typed in later from a register.
Can we see a single line, or the whole plant?
Both. The board opens at plant level for the shift, then drills into a work centre, a work order and an operation. Multi-plant companies get a company view with each plant underneath.
How is a work centre marked behind?
Against the plan for the hour. Each operation has a target rate from the routing. When the logged rate falls below it, the work centre shows behind, with the open downtime, shortage or slow station that explains it.
Does it handle subcontracted operations?
Yes. A subcontracted operation sits in the same routing as an in-house one. Material goes out on a challan, the return is recorded against it, and a short return shows on the work order.
