The situation
Job work leaves on a slip and comes back on trust
Plating, embroidery, washing, heat treatment, machining. Material goes to a vendor on a delivery challan, returns days later, and the count, the quality and the cost are reconciled at month end, if at all. The order it belongs to is planned as if the vendor operation does not exist.

Does it print the delivery challan?
Yes, with the GST job-work fields. The challan number is the reference for the return.
Can a vendor do more than one operation?
Yes. Each vendor operation is its own line on the routing with its own challan and return. Two consecutive vendor operations can share one challan.
What if the vendor returns in several lots?
Each return is recorded against the same challan. The open quantity reduces with each, and the short return is whatever remains after the vendor closes it.
